Tech Check Webinars

GSA will be hosting two webinars this week to help you with any technical setup questions you may have in preparation for your scheduled live Zoom presentation. The purpose of these webinars is to create a consistent audio/video experience for our speakers and attendees. Technical Support Specialists will present information to review audio, video, lighting, camera, background, as well as how to share your screen.

Consult the Technical Appendix for information to review on the webinar. A brief one page Guidelines for Session Chairs will help prepare you for what to expect on the day of your presentation.

These webinars are optional but are recommended if you have any questions or concerns with presenting virtually over Zoom. Webinars will be recorded and available for those who cannot attend live.

New Online Format:

  • Symposium, paper, and poster presenters will still be required to pre-record their presentations for on-demand viewing as originally planned; this will enable registrants to access all scholarship presented, these presentations will be available until December 31, 2021.
  • Each symposium and paper session also will be convened live using a video conferencing platform; session chairs will manage the live presentations and Q&A, and discussants will participate.
  • Poster sessions will be on-demand only with no live presentation; attendees will have the opportunity to engage in Q&A with presenters asynchronously.

Founded in 1945, GSA is the driving force behind advancing innovation in aging — both domestically and internationally. Our members come from more than 50 countries. To further fulfill our mission, GSA assembles more than 3,500 professionals from around the world to an Annual Scientific Meeting. This monumental event now features more than 500 sessions each year.
